I do not have an Ipod, but an Iriver, and have just purchased a pair of JBL
Ontour speakers. I think the cost is normally ?62, but Amazon have them for
around ?47 and one of the Amazon market place sellers is advertising them
for just under ?30 plus ?4.50 postage. This is where mine came from. I am
using them with my Iriver and also with the BookCourier. They can be run
either from the mains or using four AAA batteries. There is no docking
station, just a connecting lead, but these speakers sound pretty good for
their size.

Scott, I have an Altec Lansing Inmotion unit which plugs up to any
portable device via the headphone jack. There's also a portable Sony
Unit being sold by someone on the Recycleit list at present for thirty
quid which is likely to be cheaper than anything that's iPod branded.
The altec Lansing units sell from about sixty-five quid. Check out
their availability t the Pricerunner website.=20

Can anyone suggest a good set of speakers or docking station type that
is compatible with the Ipod shuffle? I have the first type shuffle, is
there much differences between that 1 and the new version that could
encourage me to upgrade? ?

thanks,#
