Hi Scott - I have some that cost about =A330 on amazon, gear4 I think - = and they really aren't very good at all. They buzz a bit when on and = you have to have them on in order to charge the ipod. Similarly if you = charge while listening the buzzing becomes significantly louder and = effects the listening pleasure quite a bit. I went down the speakers = route because it only cost a little more than buying a mains charge for = the shuffle but if I were starting from here I'd just buy the charger = and not bother with the speakers next time around. As far as the difference between the new and old shuffle is concerned I = think it is simply a matter of physical size and case material. The new = ones are half the size and have an aluminium case which looks good until = its bounced around in your pocket with keys and change for a few days. =20 Adrian Higginbotham Project manager, Standards British Educational Communications and Technology Agency - BECTA Tel: Direct dial 024 7679 7333 - Becta switchboard 02476-416994.
