My girlfriend had this, and we suspected that she had spyware on her
laptop, so we ran a series of tests, and indeed there were some spyware
on her laptop, and as we removed it she had no sound problems
whatsoever. Any activity that occurs without obvious cause should raise
suspicion for either viruses, spyware, or other malware. If this isn't
the case, then start looking at issues with your soundcard. Hope that
