You might want to get the skype scripts for jaws from

http://users.visi.com/~dgl/skype/

Also, while the current skype 4.0 is usable with jaws, accessibility features have not yet been fuly implemented in skype 4.0 and the makers of skype themselves recommend that blind users for the time being use the previous version of skype. they provide a direct download link for it:

http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-accessibility

The choice you'll have to make is between using the older and more accessible version and having to learn the new one when you upgradeover using the current version that might still have a gliche or two in its accessibility.

Hi,

I have never used Skype before but now must try and get it up and running
for a contract I'm working on. I have JAWS 10 and was wondering if there is
anything I need to know about running Skype, can I just download it and be
on my way?

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Cheers
