quite happily without talks, just as a basic phone.  It cost around thirty
quid.  The only real way is to go to a phone shop and take a look at the
handsets.

  Tesco had some very straightforward ones a little while back but have no
clue whether they still have any or if the display is clear enough.  They
had no camera and were pretty cheap.  As I did not buy one myself but only
heard about this, I have no idea whether or not this tied you to a network.
