well andy, get to kno your neighbours or something then. It is fairly pointless us trying to suggest solutions until we have more of an idea of what is on the screen. It could be anything from the computer booting up in safe mode to a component failure. If you can't get a neighbour to do it, take it down the pub and get someone to read it to you.
