Hello Darran,
There may be some merrit in ensuring that the realtech drivers are up
to date. If you open an existing audio file not recorded in
goldwave, is the resulting sound clean or distorted? Is this a
question of over modulating on the recording side of things? If you
take your stereo mix volume down to say 400 or some thing like that,
or even lower, is the played back audio still distorted?
I have a vague memory that a colleague needed to have his stereo mix
volume verry verry low indeed. This of course may be system
specific, but worth a shot.
