Hi Terry,

I didn't mean whether they are both from Nokia or not, I meant is the phone
locked to a specific provider, such as Tmobile, Voda, Three, etc? If you
are locked to one operator, and you try to insert a sim from another
operator, you ain't going nowhere.

Hi Steve

Yes, the phone and sim are both from nokia. I've tried putting the sim in
and out many times. It used to work just fine.

Hi Terry,

Is the N73 from the same mobile phone company? If not, is it sim-free? If
it is not sim-free, then it could be sim-locked to one operator. Failing
that, maybe you are not pushing the card in properly, I have seen that
before too. In any event, the sim isn't being recognised, or is invalid.
It doesn't sound like there is anything wrong with the phone.

Subject: [access-uk] n73

Hi all
I'm using talks with a nokia n73. Each time I turn it on, it askes whether
I wish to stay in off line mode. When I answer no, by pressing key two, it
eventually says that it is unable to go on-line.

The sim card will only fit in one way, so I know its in correctly. I've
also tried making it go on-line when the phone is fully booted up, and it
still won't.

My sim works in my 6630, and this is only a recent problem with my n73.

Does anyone know why this may be happening?

Any assistance appreciated.

Terry
