You got a 4GB or an 8GB Andy? Of course the other big plus are the buttons.
Don't know how easy they are to still get now if someone was looking for the
N91 though. They sort of came and went quickly.

That's true Jackie, lots of phones play mp3 files, but not so many actually
have a dedicated music player built in like the N91, giving full and accessible
functionality! Love it! -

Couldn't agree with you more Andy. Hope the phone lives as long as I do!!
and it's got an equaliser on it to adjust the sound if you want it.

But there are quite a lot of mobiles on the market now that do allow you to
play music on them, even if you purchase a higher capacity memory card. I
still think it's a better option because of the ability of TALKS to speak the
song names etc. Naturally it's about what a person can afford and what they
are comfortable using, but I think it's a fantastic method.

Jackie - Of course, not all phones will work in the way the wonderful N91
does, being that it is also a music player. I love it because it doubles up for
me as a music player, a book reader, and I even put DVD sound tracks on it, so
can listen to movies when away from home. Still the best phone in my opinnion! -

        Hi Marg

I haven't seen the Stream, so obviously won't comment on its ability to
play MP3 files. But if it is as good as the Book Courier, then it should be
fine. The Book Courier was good quality, but the channels were round the other
way, and Ian rectified that by having a lead made that latched onto my
headphones to reverse them.

I have an Iriver for music which, to be honest, you would struggle to
get now as they are no longer being made. But I use my mobile phone for MP3,
and I think it's brill. Firstly, TALKS speaks all the song names, so that
makes it easy to find them. Secondly, I can create playlists on it, which
makes accessibility to my favourite tracks easier. And because I take my phone
with me when I'm out anyway, it serves a great purpose for music. Your music
is interrupted when you get a text message, or when someone rings you, and that
is useful.

When I rip CDs or download, I like the size to be 192.

The Milestone allows you to play MP3, but I personally don't like it
for music as there is a slight speed variation which is annoying. Also, it
doesn't name your files and folders according to their proper titles unless you
voice them.

I'm sure others will give you more suggestions, but these are my
thoughts that might give you an idea.

          Hello

I have recently purchased a Stream, and so far I am pleased with it.
I am a total beginner as regards audio etc. Could anyone advise whether the
Stream will be as good for listening to down-loaded music files etc as an MP3
machine? If MP3 is preferred, then could you kindly recommend a machine which
would be user-friendly for a totally blind person.

          Many thanks.

          Marg
