Oh well, maybe that's where the subscription money is to be had, from the
professionals. Still, maybe a chance for someone to jump in and provide for the
likes of us, which maybe they are doing with a number of subscription based
web-based mags.

Cheers,

Ray, it's not the editor's fault if there isn't much to put in there, but I
think it's lost it's reader appeal since Peter handed it over to RNIB staff.
It's
kind of got bitty now and full of odds and ends that, as Ari says, you can read
elsewhere. I've subscribed to it since it started about 13 years ago, but I
don't
look forward to it the same any more, and I feel likewise about NB too. It's
gone
very professional now and the user input seems to be lacking. It's all for
health
care professionals and Rehabs. No offence to any of them, but it isn't the
read I
used to look forward to.

Jackie, have to agree about Access-IT. Saw an issue when staying with
friends
up north and nothing in there really that I cannot get off email lists. In
fact a
few cullings from lists. Things about shopping and mobiles though, and some a
bit
futureistic. wouldn't sub to it myself.

Well, supposed we'd better let you un-sub. Will keep an look out for you.

Thanks Alex. I'll try doing reviews again when there's something
interesting to do. Must say I haven't done much for Access IT of late because
there hasn't been too much to jump up and down about, and I don't like the way
the
mag is going these days. Personally I miss Peter Bosher. No offence to Jo
Franks
intended mind. She can only fill it with what there is, but it's just not the
same any more.

        Hi Jackie

I would just like to add to what Billy says. I hope everything goes
well
for you and I hope you will soon be back and doing product reviews for access IT
again. I value the contributions you make and what seems like a fountain of
knowledge. Take care,

Much appreciated Billy. Thing is I haven't got round to it yet as you
just add it to a long list of things to do and don't get round to it. I just
couldn't let messages mount up while I'm away because Ian will probably be
spending a lot of time in Aberdeen with me anyway, and the last thing he'll be
bothered with is my electronic mail. So I thought I'd unsub for a bit, soon ...
very soon (smiles).
