Oh no Gordon, then that means they are RealSpeak.  Why people rave about
those voices in the Daniel family I do not know, but I guess it comes down
to personal preference.  Personally it will still be Alex for me all the
way, and I hope he is introduced to the smaller products eventually.

        Here are samples of a couple of the new voices in Lion which have
been doing the rounds. These aren't generated through Apple's speech engine,
they're the same voices used by another service so the samples are generated
from that. They may or may not sound better when used in VoiceOver:
