Marie, the battery is the large flat rectangular thing which sits in the
compartment. From memory, I think there's a little gap don the right
hand side of it into which you can push a finger and lift the battery
out. When re-inserting it, you may find that you have to experiment a
bit since it doesn't just drop or slot straightforwardly in. You have
to put in one end first. Hope this helps.

managed to take the cover off but not sure where the battery is, what
shape is it, how do you pull it out, easy when you know how I suppose
but not when you don't know what you are looking for and are worried you
might touch something you are not supposed to or break something.
Thanks for your help, very much appreciated but afraid I need a little
more.
cheers now,

Marie
