Hi Carol,

Try the following path, replace username with your actual username.

c:\users\username\AppData\Roaming

The qube settings folder normally resides there.

let me know if that works for you.

Mo.

Would be handy to know exactly which folders I'm looking for and how I am sure
I take the right ones out! Thanks for your offer to call. Hopefully I can that
decision to you!

No, all you have to do is run the qube again and it should ask you to
reauthorise with twitter. its strange that it should just stop working. I
always tend to run mine from a specific folder on my hard drive so it doesn't
store its settings in the windows profile folders. If you'd like a hand let me
know and i'll give you a call for a few mins to show you where the folder is.
there are 3 different profile folders. enable display of hidden folders, then
pop in to users, then your username, then application data then either the
local, local.lo or roming folders either of those 3 could contain the qube's
settings.

all the best,

Mo.

Using Windows 7!

So what when I've deleted the folder. Do I just have to reinstall the Qube?
Sorry, not quite clear!

Carol P - With thanks, as always!

Hi Carol.

Try resetting your settings for the qube. Are you running windows7 or XP? the
settings are stored in documents and settings, username, application data under
the qube folder. just delete the qube folder. If you let me know the OS i'll
try to assist further. i assumed you were running xp above.

all the best,

Mo.

Hi Carol,
I can't give you the details, but can tell you what happened to me.
I had exactly this problem before Christmas.
I had gone home to Australia for the holidays.
Tried to use it and couldn't simply wouldn't acknowledge me.
I was using Windows XP and Jaws 12.
A nephew of mine look at the computer for me and worked backwards on the
windows updates and brought me back to an early version.
It then worked.
Got back from holidays last week, had a few problems with the computer and in a
moment of lose mindedness updated windows.
Guess what, the problem is back.
Am hoping nephew in Australia might be able to tell me what the problem was, I
have emailed him.
Our problems might not be the same but I just thought I would mention it.
Jeff

Subject: [access-uk] PROBLEMS WITH THE QUBE!

Hi all,

I'm desperate for a fix for this one and have trawled the net (as best I can)
and just found some have experienced this one but only one found an answer, but
this isn't the cause for me, though the problem is the same! (The answer I
found was from Steve Button on the BCAB list, so I figure folk on this list may
be able to help!

Basically, the Qube suddenly stopped getting, or receiving, an Access Token from
Twitter somewhere around the end of October, possibly. Try as I may, I cannot find a
solution. Have reinstalled, checked for disc errors and checked out that my time and
date are correct (as Steve had found his had been changed). So what can I do now,
please? I'm really very keen to use this on my desktop as it's by far the quickest
and most effective programme for Tweeting that I know!<Smiles>

Anyone who solves this one will be a star with me!<Smiles>

Thanks a lot for any help you can give.

Carol P
