The iTunes software should pick up the podcasts automatically when it is
running. It will add the new podcast item to the list, the olds ones will
remain unless you manually delete them. Unless you have changed the default
settings it should update your iPod when is plugged in, and it all should be
seamless.

a quick podcast iTunes query.

I've just been playing around with iTunes and added some podcast feeds. I'm
using iTunes version 4.9 at the moment with Brian Hartgen's scripts in demo
mode just to see how it goes.

Can someone tell me what happens when a podcast updates? Does iTunes
automatically grab it, delete the old podcast and then add the new one to
your iPod the next time you plug it in? Is it all as beautifully seemless as
that? Or do I have to press some buttons to get iTunes to go away and
collect the latest version of the podcasts on my list?

Any help appreciated. Oh and is iTunes version 6 with the T&T scripts much
improved? I'm still teetering on this one.

Thanks
