Hi Amro, It sure must have been a very-long time since you last checked. LOL! You're correct, Rockbox does not have a TTS engine, but you can make your files able to be spoken by running one of two included utilities on our players to generate a very-small .talk file for each. In the abscence of a .talk file, one can set up Rockbox to either say nothing, spell folders and files, or assign them a number. Take a listen to our demo, which can be found on: http://www.talkingmp3players.com/uploads/2/0/4/6/2046538/talking_rockboxed_sansa_e200_series_player_demo.mp3 You will hear the folder and file names being spoken in that demonstration. And to correct what someone else said earlier, it doesn't matter how complex the file name is. As long as one generates a .talk file for it, it will be spoken on the player. Regards, Laz Amro wrote: David, that does sound very good about those Sonsa players. Out of interest though, does Rockbox now read file names? I remember when I last checked quite a while back that Rockbox did not have a TTS engine, thus, it reads file names letter by letter. Is that still the case?
