Hi Joan,
It's all very odd. I was able to use the darned thing again tonight. It's
very irratic.
The first postcode I searched for couldn't be found, and there was a message
to the effect that I still had something like eleven more tries today. So
there is some sort of limit to the service, but we should at least be
permitted these tries. The second and third postcode I searched for was
found.

What I'm wondering, Keith, is if they see you (or anyone) looking for a
code too often, maybe they give us this graphic thing.
Should be a much simpler way of ensuring that it's used properly. We
shouldn't have all this hassle.

Well, here I am having gone round in a loop and come back to the
beginning again. I phoned the number given only to be told to phone the
actual postcodes number for a postcode. Since I wanted to know what was
causing the problem with the website for some of us, I held on for
complaints. The person to whom I spoke tried phoning too and got the same
problems, finding that he had come back to his own call centre.
So in a nutshell, I can't see why this is happening to some of us
but not all, and what the remedy is. (growl!)
