Hi Debbie,

We've had one for almost a year now, and it's probably the
hardest working printer of the four A4 printers we have.

I better begin by saying I'm not sure about the
accessibility side of the printer's refinements, but I'd say
it was no more complex than many others.

First, it prints duplex (double-sided) if you want. Hence
we use it a great deal for printing manuals and such like
because it saves paper and of course bulk.

Second, as well as a top sheet feeder, it has a lower paper
tray, so we can have different coloured paper in that if we
wish.

Third, it has five ink tanks. Two black, plus Cyan, Magenta
and Yellow. At around a tenner a tank, they're not cheap,
but at least you don't waste ink compared to the all in
one's that HP do, which are even more expensive.

Fourth, it has a far better envelope feeder than I have come
across with others. It's won't take the large C5 envelopes,
but we don't use those much anyway. Our envelope printing
is invariable for invoices and such like, so we use the
standard DL size. It will still do your larger Christmas
cards though.

Fifth, it works with Royal Mail's Smart Stamp. Although
that costs £4.99 a month, it's cheaper for us than having a
franking machine, and we can to the postage up it up with a
credit card.

Sixth, it comes with a CD carrier to allow us to print
printable CDs. We do a lot of those too for customers who
have software upgrades and such like. If there's a minus
there, it is that the CD printing software isn't quite so
easy to work with compared to Epson's equivalent.

Seventh, while it doesn't come with any card readers (for
cameras and such like) it does have a USB input to allow you
to print direct from a suitable camera.

Eighth, quality is good for photographs, and of course for
general printing work too.

All in all, I rate it one of my better buys, and will be
getting two more to replace a Lexmark and a laser printer as
soon as their ink and toner run out.

George.

Hi George

No problem its just my husband wants to buy it and I wasn't
sure if I would
be able to use it or how easy it is to change the
cartridges.
I was also puzzled because it is fairly cheap and claims to
do a lot. I
have read a few reviews which rate it as being good.
So you think it's a great printer.

Regards

Debbie
