The bd8 was the old registration form, a cvi has more info on it, and is
replacement for the bd8 though both are accepted, though the cvi makes use
of different terms and are seen to be more accurate as more info on it.
terms like sight impaired, replaces partially sighted,the condition, then a
number, visual acuity and field, then description of what that means, or SVI
severely sight impaired, replaces blind, a description of what that is, IE
nlp no light perception, and a visual acuity/field number. So the CVI is
more detailed, as I understand it. and if you want to get hold of yours,
speak to local authority or hospital. And if you are registered blind, for
instance, where you had some useful sight,but you have had progression in
your sight loss since your initial registration, time to get that
updated.light perception to no light perception for instance. This very
important, as dwp and others are judging by numbers as well as affects of
conditions now.

standard form of cvi, as for the BD8. where in the dickens does one get a
