Doris and Graham,

Hope you might find it helpful also to use the tip Douglas Harrison gave
me off list.  He wrote

"After much frustration I noticed a button marked "Section" which I
could only activate in 
Hal's virtual focus mode (something like using the Jaws cursor, I
think).  
This had the effect of producing a list in which I could cursor up or
down, hear the full 
details and, if I thought it necessary, press space bar to select the
item."

It reads much better after pressing this button.

as I said, I always just hit "select all problems ' and have regscrub 
do the rest. Sorry to not be able to be more specific.
