Hi Ian,

Many thanks. I was thinking I would probably be getting an Epson but now I'll try to get some information on Canon printers.

Best.

Robert.

Hi Robert,

From the enquiries I've made recently I gather that Canon branded cartridges are much cheaper than Epson or HP. Also, every time I switch on my Epson C44 it charges both cartridges. I almost never print anything containing colour, yet the cartridge has to be replaced as the charging process wastes ink. It would be interesting to know if other brands of printer work the same way. Either way I'll not be buying an Epson again.

Oh, and in case you're thinking of compatible cartridges, I know too many people (including myself) that have had lots of trouble with newer Epson printers when using non-branded cartridges. One local computer shop has actually stopped selling Epsons for that reason.

Regards.

Ian
