Hi Roger,

thanks for telling us about the blank disk shop. I've added the site to my favourites. I see they do cartridges for my old printer starting at £8.74 and I've never seen tham that low.

Best.

Robert.

The choice of printer is up to you. I've used both Epson and HP and find them both equally good. Cartridges are the bug bear though. I recently went to the Blank Disc Shop, www.blankdiscshop.com and find they now do replacement cartridges at a price I just couldn't believe. I needed some Epson C86 replacements and the colour ones were £0.72p each and the offer was buy one and get one free. So for £7.11 including postage I had 6 cartridges which would have cost me £45 in the local supplier. I have found they don't vary from the others in any using detail at all.

The HP 930 black cartridge in the local shop costs me in the area of £18 whereas the blank disc price is £6.72 plus postage so add other things needed to absorb that. How they can do it for those prices I've no idea but long may they do so.

Roger

Hi Folks,

I rarely use snail mail for sending letters these days but the need did arise this morning. I typed out the letter and then, when I tried to print it, my HP Deskjet 690C failed to do the job. I decided a long time ago that when this happened, I'd scrap it and look for another one that didn't cost an arm and a leg for replacement cartridges. Ideally, I'd like one capable of producing good reproductions of the photographs my wife takes with her digital camera. At present, she is getting them done at Sainsbury's If anyone has recommendations, please can they pass them on to me.

Best.

Robert.
