Mandy, you need to record the ringtones you want to save into something like
Sound Forge. You hook your mobile up to something like a hi-fi and record the
sound that way, and save it as a WAV extension. There are very few ringtones
you can send from one phone to another without being denied access because of
their encryption.
Do you have something like Sound Forge to be able to do that? If not, perhaps
someone else on the list could suggest an alternative way of doing it that I
haven't thought of, which is why I'm replying to you on it.

tell me how to do it as I'm getting rid of my phone tomorrow and would like to
be able to save the ring-tones so as not to have to buy them again I really

No Mandy, not directly, because they are encrypted. But I do get round it
by recording a ringtone into Sound Forge from my mobile and saving it as a wav
file. It isn't the quickest way, but it does work.
