I wouldn't even bother with with windows find at all. It is slow and
extremely inefficient.

My personal choice, if you want a free alternative is Agent Ransack
available from
www.mythicsoft.com/agentransack/
You can tab through the fields easily enough when doing a find but you will
need to use the mouse keys of your screenreader and click on the list of
results which appears in a separate window. It is nice and fast though.

Cheers

Hello all,

Please can someone explain how to search for any pdf files within a given
folder in Windows XP?

On ME, I used to navigate to that folder using My Computer, then press
control f; then in the file name field typed *.pdf. But it seems different
in Windows XP - I navigated to the folder, pressed control f; then pressed
space on the documents button; typed *.pdf and it searched the whole drive.
