Oh, right I see Peter. Yes, I'm using Window-Eyes 5.0, not that I think that makes a difference. I'm using IE6 too, but I have installed a few enhancements, and listing images could be something to do with one of those. The most useful enhancement I have is zooming in-out on an imige which is available when you use the right context menu. This works on the vast majority of sites, zooming the image while keeping the rest of the page uneffected. I think that maybe the context options change a bit depending on where the mouse pointer actually is on the page.
