Hi, I have never come across such a setting, but instead, you could try the following: Say you are in a folder called music. You hit the backspace key, and that puts you at the top of the previous directory. So, just hit both the m and u keys together at the same time quickly to get back to the folder called music. I have a folder called mp3, so instead of pressing m to get to it, I press both m and p together, it makes it much quicker. In the mean time, if you find that setting, do let me know. Oh, another thing you could try is having all folders open in a new window, then all you would need to do is hit alt f4 to get back to the previous folder, and hopefully you would be back to where you were.

Hi all.

When I go into a folder, for example, MeatLoaf - bat out of hell 2 to
listen to a particular track, then press the back delete key, I'm
brought back into the My Music directory, but not on the album I just
left, but rather, at the top on ACDC. This is a pest because if you
are jumping in and out of folders, you need to find your way back. Hope I've explained this okay.
Anyway, I'm sure at one time when I pressed the back del key I ended
up on the album name. Does anyone know which setting within XP Home
that I need to adjust to sort this out?

Best wishes.

Andy.
