I have a keyboard with some buttons above the function keys, and I am sure there is a way of turning off these buttons if you don't want them, but I can't find it. I have tried looking in control panel, Keyboard, but no joy. Hi Edward - Thanks for the suggestion, it worked, I had held it in for a longish press, but probably only about 4 seconds, but a little longer has worked. Hurrah! - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edward Green" <edward@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 6:29 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Shut up shut down and bugger off! | Hi Andy, | | You probably have, but have you tried holding the power button in? it may | take over 5 seconds. | | Edward | | -----Original Message----- | From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of | Andy Collins | Sent: 23 February 2008 18:10 | To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | Subject: [access-uk] Shut up shut down and bugger off! | | Hi all - | | No, not a personal message to any individual, but my problem with my laptop! | | What happens is, that I have some touch media keys across the plastic strip | above the function keys on my laptop, and these trigger certain things, one | of which seems to be to launch "quick Play" [or some such name] programme, | that seems to hog the machine, and I lose not just JFW, but Narrator too!
