Hi Andy,
Depends. If you buy the SiRecognizer professional, then the PC Software can
work with both the scanner and the camera onm a regular PC as well as a
UMPC. If you buy the basic version, then it only works on a scanner.
To summarise then, there are four versions. SiRecognizer Pro with hardware,
SiRecognizer Pro only, will work on UMPC and regular PC, Professional, which
will work on a PC only, and uses the camera and the scanner, and the basic,
which disables all camera features, but works on a PC. Basic is the
equivalent to K1000 if you like.
