Hi Colin,
It turned out that Flash was the problem, and I wasn't getting the videos at
all from any site using Internet Explorer. Where I should have been getting the
picture, unknown to me, I was getting an empty box. Solution: Uninstal and
reinstall Flash.

I am now using FF to access YouTube on my WxpHome machine because I had the
same problems Paul Roberts did. Sometimes videos are stopped, because there is
a plug-in related to flash, I have now found the button which in FF says "allow
and remember" hoping the problem will be solved.
Might this be your problem?
