Hi Keith and everyone,

Keith, I'm very sorry to hear about the theft of your stuff,
particularly your BrailleNote.

The situation regarding equipment supplied by AtW is quite clear.
Although AtW provided funding towards the purchase of the equipment,
ownership rests with your employer, or with yourself if you are
self-employed. Therefore, if you are an employee, the Braillenote
belongs to your employer and is therefore presumably covered by any
insurance your employer may have for equipment which is portable. Some
employers have such insurance, whereas others do not.

So responsibility for replacement lies with your employer, who can
hopefully claim back the cost from the insurer. AtW will not make any
contribution towards the cost of a replacement BrailleNote.

Sorry I can't be more positive, but that's how things are.

Cheers,

Brendan.
