When you sell something to someone who has a Paypal account, they pay direct
into your account. Then when you go in to check that you have received the
money, you get an option to create a label for the parcel and automatically
work out and print the postage stamp. I haven't done this yet, but it looks
pretty straightforward. You have to give the weight and dimentions of the
parcel, hence the need for postal scales.
I think Royal Mail's site now offers a similar facility. Certainly I do
know you can buy first and second class stamps online.
