"Text to Speech" is the generic term for a computer program
which will speak a selected piece of text.
Although this is one of the functions of a screen reader,
pure Text to Speech will usually only do just that, and very
little else.
It is often used by dyslexic people who have difficulty
reading documents on a computer.
