Hi Ibrahim
Would you be so kind as to send me a copy of the instructions as I have ordered my TVonics from RNIB and I know instructions come in print as I was informed though I did have the option to request accessable format! The other thing is that David's question interests me greatly. How would I connect the TVonics wirelessly to my broadband? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx>

Hi David.

The TVonics does indeed support all red button functions including BBC IPlayer if the box is connected either with cable or via wireless to the internet. Unfortunately the speech will not speech when using these features, nor can you access teletext either. I believe this is clearly stated in the instructions downloadable from the RNIB website, a copy of which I'd be happy to send you on request.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [access-uk] TV Red Button

Hi

Has anyone investigated the use of tvonics with the BBC red button
programmes? I have the Olympics in mind, and I believe the BBC are covering most events, many of which will have red button dedicated channel coverage.

I am wondering whether this is accessible using the tvonics talking freeview
box. I am pretty sure it is not speech accessible, but is it possible to
down arrow to red button programme 1, find out what sport is on that
channel, and go on down until you find the sport you wish to watch?

I believe there is also a bbc digital radio channel totally for Olympic
coverage. Anyone have details of where to find this?

Hope this is not too off topic.

David
