So what, exactly, does a reset do and why should it help in this situation? Carol P ---- Original Message ---- From: "Porter, Paul" <Paul.Porter@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 09, 2012 10:44 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: TVonics - Amy On Strike!
Writing with both my RNIB hat on and personal experienceI would urge owners of the Tvonics not to panic.I should point out that if you change the hard drive onyour box then you would invalidate your warranty.Ibrahim, you may simply have a faulty unit that will bereplaced. I think all would agree that any freeview or satellite box will chrash occasionally and that it's then necessary to reset.I would be surprised if there is an inherrent hard driveproblem as these boxes have been on sale for a number of months. If anybody has a problem then please contact ourtechnology team to discuss. It may be that a reset or retune will fix the problem. We are all users of the Tvonics so can help. I have 5 pages of recordings and haven't experienced anyproblems.I hope we can all continue to enjoy the Tvonics box. Ithas certainly changed the way I watch and record tv.Paul Porter Sales and Support Officer, Technology -- Blind people's benefits are at risk.
