If you have a visa card and you signed up with Dabs.com, they had a "verified by visa" thingy, but I didn't need to do anything as it was automatically verified once I've entered my card details the first time I signed up. However, when I helped my girlfriend signed up with Dabs.com using her Maestro card, she had to register a password so that she could order things from them using her maestro. So I guess the security depends on the card you have. Hope this helps.
