Hi Mike,

Thanks. The machine is solid as a rock in day to day use. But now that I
have no need to travel and the desktop fitted with a wireless
keyboard/mouse, I see no use to have the laptop burning fuel as well. It's
just for when I'm travelling and when I want to work downstairs. So now
she's taking a well earned break and I just hope when I start her up again
she'll be OK.

Thanks for the tip, I'll remember that one.

Hussein,

I have had a couple of different laptops completely lock on
me. They would not reset with the power button or respond at
all to keypresses. However I found that if the battery was
unplugged and re-fitted it seemed to sort it out. May be
worth remembering for future reference!

Kind regards,

Mike
