Hi Guys

I'm resending this as I didn't see it pass on Friday, and would appreciate your
wisdom please.

My desktop PC uses XP Home Edition, and my new laptop Windows Vista Home
Premium. I make regular backups of my Windows address book on XP and delete
everything out of Vista and import a fresh backup every so often.

But when I deleted all my contacts from Vista ready for a fresh backup
recently, I realised that it was still picking up Emails I composed, putting
the recipient into the address field as if the contacts were still there. I
also noticed that it remembers any contact I haven't got backed up in my
address book either, as I don't have the box checked to automatically add
contacts I reply to, to my address book.

Where then is Vista storing this information, and how can I stop it from
remembering everything?

I use Outlook Express on XP, and the equivalent Windows Mail on Vista. I also
have Office 2003 Professional installed on both machines, and have no contacts
or other info in Outlook that could be causing this to happen.

Please anyone, any ideas? This is rather strange, and I'd like to at least
know how to access any hidden files Vista is apparently generating.

Many thanks.

Jackie
