Hi Jackie -

I haven't had this reminder yet, and would like to get it done for
security's sake.

I don't know where to begin! I used the search box under Control Panel to
search for system and restore, but what came back didn't seem to be for
backing up the system, just files and folders, or the option to create
restore points.

I have a partition on one of my hard drive called HP_recovery which seems to
be a 10GB folder that I can't actually access, not even when using the JAWS
cursor. From what you seem to be saying though, this isn't the back up for
the system, because you said this is something that needs to be done
manually to several CDs.

Can you move me on? I've never backed my system up before, files and folders
of course, but never the system. What is it that actually gets backed up any
way? If it's the operating system, then I've got my Vista cd for that? I'm
probably mixed up, nothing new there <smile> So thanks as always for any
help -

Andy

| Hi Andy
|
| Please get your disks created and lock them away safely. It's easy to do
| and shouldn't take more than about an hour tops. You will get a reminder
| message at some point to do it. Have some blank CDs available and just
| follow the prompts.
