Hi, I tried this out following on from the Can i Eat it App, (due for release on Saturday). If you folks havent' tried it yet look at vizwiz. It's free. You can have web workers, IQ Engines, (an image identifier server), and your Twitter followers help you describe pics you take within the app. I mainly use IQ and Web Workers. The Web Workers were describing to me yesterday the views out of all the windows of my house, the colour of the paint in various rooms, the breed of Guide Dog my partner has, colour of Jo's purse, tins of peas, brand of a bottle of champagne someone sent us a moving in present. It's really useful and allot of fun. Allot more effective than OH Moby, which I thought was great when i first starting using it but VizWiz beats it hands down because of the social aspect and the detail in the returned descriptions, (because there's humans at the other end). I can see mobility uses as well as lifestyle/computing uses with VizWiz. Quickly the process goes. 1. Grab VizWiz from the app store. 2. Run it and hit the camera button to snap a pick. 3. Hit the Record button and ask any question you want about that picture. Someone asked on theirs "Where is the cat located in this picture". NB. When you tap Record the phone vibrates twice, then you lose speech. Once finished recording just double tap the screen again and you'll be taken on to the next step. 4. Select your sources, Web Workers, IQ Engines, Twitter, (are the choices). Then hit Send on the same page. It'll take a few minutes, (sometimes shorter), and answers will begin appearing. You can leave that screen open for answers to keep coming or if you are happy with the first minimise the app and/or go back to the beginning by hitting the back button. My only small complaint is the Back button isn't tied to the VO Gesture to move back a screen. You have to double-tap on it, but that's so minor I only mention it to say something that isn't gushy about this app. Good luck.
