Hi Graham,
Can you please tell me in what way Wayfinder treated you as a car driver.
I believe the main differences between the pedestrian, car and taxi modes
are that a pedestrian can go the 'wrong' way in a one way road and a taxi
can use a bus lane. I don't believe that any maps used by GPS systems know
about footpaths etc. If anyone knows differently I would be pleased to hear
about them.
Regards
Philip

without the receiver you can try the rather stingy trial they give you of 5
days.
This is really not enough time to evaluate the software and I was less than
impressed I have to say.
I put in my area, Stepney Green Court and searched for restaurants in WhiteChapel.
It found whitechapel OK but gave me a restaurant list with entries from the
whole of London. not very useful.
Maybe I was doing something wrong. also I did a search between 2 points in
Exeter and despite choosing pedestrian mode I was directed as though I was a
car driver.
I accept I may have been doing something wrong as I am not an experienced user of GPS software.
Not bad software but I think I will wait a while before chosing my GPS system.
Cheers
Graham

Hi all.
To anyone using this. Do you need to have a GPS receiver on your phone to use this software.
If not what advantage does a receiver give you.
Thanks Barry Toner
