Well on both my and my husband's machine, Sygate quit working the other week. We are now also using another firewall product, one i had never heard of before but which is fairly accessible and does its job apparently.

Cheers,

Doris

Doris - This doesn't make Sygate worthless though surely - what support does it need if it's warning me when either programmes are trying to access the network, or outsiders are trying to contact my machine?

Because Symantec three months after acquiring the rights to Sygate announced they would ditch support of the product.

Hi all -

I'm still using Sygate as my firewall, wondering why people are looking to change just because it's under new management?
