I have recently purchased the Wilson recorder Version 6 from
Sightconnection.com in the USA. While waiting for it to arrive, which should
be next week according to my tracking information, I have been searching for
an accessible manual but all the PDF files I have found are unreadable and I
get the following message:
This document appears to be empty. It may be a scanned image that needs OCR or
it may be a malformed document.
I would be most grateful if anyone who has this recorder could please e-mail
the manual to me so I can save it for future reference.
for those of you who don't know about it, here are the details.
The Wilson™ Recorder (Version 6) is a simple to use digital recorder. It can
store up to 12 hours of recordings based on the selected recording quality.
It's easy to add or delete messages. There is a new CM (check messages)
button, on the side beneath the volume button, that you can press to hear an
announcement of how many messages are stored on The Wilson™. This CM button,
while held in, also allows you to hear a count down of your messages, i.e. 1,
2, 3, release the button and it will stop at the message number you wish to
hear. You can also pause while recording.
This device measures 4" x 3 inches and comes with volume control, a belt clip,
and a single earbud. This recorder makes notes, memos, and reminders easy for
low vision users.
Requires 2 AAA batteries.
I purchased Version 5 of this recorder last year and have found it very
useful, and once my new recorder arrives I will pass it on. The check
messages button will make it much easier to find a particular message quickly
without having to skip back through messages which I have to do at present.
Also, on Version 5 you cannot pause recordings, only playback.
