Hi Marie I seem to remember this happened to me when I was using an older version of Word some years ago. That's how I discovered the control F6 alternative as I never could alt tab between two open documents back then. I'm currently having a row with a roll of Christmas paper that I want to cut up into smaller sections, so somehow your problem is currently more appealing than mine! (smile). I also use Word 2003, so will have a look next time I have two documents open. All being well there will be a "Compare Side by Side" option listed. George. Now, when I open one document, the other disappears and I can't remember altering anything in the settings in Word. Can someone help please? Have an urgent translation to do. Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to answer.
