Hi Roger.

It does indeed sound as though you are not set up to boot from your CD-ROM.
As doris has said, you need to change this in your BIOS Settings.
Unfortunately due to the many different types of Motherboards out there, it
is not safe to give out specific instructions. Therefore unless you have
Documentation available for your Mobo/PC, its probably as well to pop it
into a shop at the next convenient time.

Incidentally, what symptoms are you experiencing with your machine at the
moment? I'm afraid I didn't come into this thread from your original post,
so apologies if you've already gone into this.

No confusion I understand what you're saying and feel you may well be right.

Unfortunately I don't know how to access it and feel it may well be beyond 
my level of expertise. Unless the whiz kid experts on this list can come up 
with a procedure I can understand it seems as if it's a shop job here. So 
close to Christmas that is expense I didn't really need.
