Hi John, try setting Screen Echo to off – I think that will sort it. You can do this from Jaws Quick Settings dialog (Ins V)>General Options>Screen Echo. Just make sure Chess Elite is in focus when you make your change so no other programs get affected.

Subject: [access-uk] a jaws problem

Hi all before I let my net book go I just wonder if any jaws user can help.

time. so this is a chess program but strangely jaws keeps saying the
clock going down so every second youre getting this spoken. is there
a way to turn this off in jaws.
