Hi,

Be aware though that this means JAWS will say nothing automatically throughout
the whole program. So not only the clock will stop, but everything else.

You can also solve this by setting a frame around the clock area and setting it
not to echo.

All the best

Steve

Hi John, try setting Screen Echo to off – I think that will sort it. You can
do this from Jaws Quick Settings dialog (Ins V)>General Options>Screen Echo.
Just make sure Chess Elite is in focus when you make your change so no other
programs get affected.

time. so this is a chess program but strangely jaws keeps saying the
clock going down so every second youre getting this spoken. is there
a way to turn this off in jaws.
thanks it's jaws fifteen.
