Hello John G.

I take it you've removed the battery and reinserted it; it doesn't always
clip in proberly. Otherwise it sounds as though the battery is absolutely
dud.

I have the Breeze and you cannot over-charge it.  Once full, the battery has
an automatic discharge feature if still plugged into the mains.
