The battery is integral to the bak cover.
In my experience reattaching the back cover/battery is sometimes awkward so it
is worth having a few tries.
Having said that I have never had a battery removed message so that indicates
something is wrong.
I believe that the device can be reset but would have to look up how that is
done.
