Ah, I just made an assumption that skarts would be involved. That'll teach
me to go thinking I know what I'm talking about!
smile.

One of the units I have has both connections to receive via skart or phono,
but the connection to the Hi-Fi is a skart out with stereo phonos carrying
the audio to the Hi-Fi.

On the whole though, if there's the ability to use optical connectors this
is the one I'd tend to favour. This one though is pretty much down to
individual choice though. Not everyone can hear the difference between the
supposed higher quality digital signal and the more straight-forward
analogue one.

Regards.

Darran

| Darran, that name sounds familiar, except it doesn't have any SCARTS on
it.
|
| Just to make it a bit more complicated still, I've also got a Digital
Sender
| in the TV cabinet which works by remote control. You plug your DVD,
video,
| Sky or Freeview boxes into that and it works in a similar way on the TV to
| how the other box I described works with phonos on the hi-fi. It has
SCARTS
| on this device and two phonos.
|
| You can see why the system is a bit complex, and why I just press buttons
| and leave the rest to Ian. When I press something and it doesn't work, I
| just shout: "Ian, your little techie wife needs assistance please," and
hope
| for the best. (smile.)
