Can't say if I feel comfortable or not in testing it myself, as I don't
know where to begin with that one! - Andy

Andy,

it's either overheating, ram probles, motherboard failure, rarely ever CPU
failure, corrupt windows install or a vrus.

It could be a chip on the motherboard.

If you dont' feel comfortable testing it yourself take it to a qualified
technician.

Christopher, I do hope you're wrong; the system does crash a fair bit, and
when it reboots, I get a message saying Windows has recovered from a serious
error or some such wording - Andy

This sounds very serious! Either something in your computer's failing,
or your whole motherboard might be packing up. Normally, the "press
delete to enter setup" message only appears briefly then the system
continues to boot. Sorry Andy, time to take it to the computer hospital,
<smiles>. Hope that helps.
