Hi Ted, there's no difference in recording quality between a card and internal memory, a card just gives you extra capacity. I don't have a 550, but the DM5 will take up to a 32 gig SDHC. I have a 32 gig class 10 in mine and it's fine with it.

John,I have had a DM550 for a little while, so far have only used the internal memory for recording. What would you say is the advantage of an SD card? I'm guessing it would have greater capacity, but how does it compare in terms of recording quality, or ease of use, or anything else?TIA, Ted. You don't need to use the software to transfer. Just remember that if you've got a card in the DM5 the card will come up in windows explorer as removable disk and the internal memory will come up as dm5.John. ----- Original Message ----- From: Williams Family To: access uk Sent: Saturday, April 07, 2012 1:51 PM Subject: [access-uk] dm5 digital recorder HiThanks to john for his help re my new dm5 recorder.
